Trove, an elevated boutique in coastal Maine, came to us with a fragmented digital presence that made it difficult to manage content and connect with customers effectively. We partnered with the Trove team to unify their site on Square, streamline the shopping experience, and launch polished marketing and ad campaigns that captured the boutique’s refined aesthetic and commitment to craftsmanship.

Fitting It All Under One Roof

Trove used Square as its point-of-sale (PoS) system and promoted products via the Square Online platform. However, they also had a second website on Wix, where static content like store information lived. This dual-platform setup created a disjointed and confusing experience for users, with inconsistent branding and hard-to-follow navigation paths between the two.

We quickly recommended consolidating the entire digital presence onto Square Online, which offered the features we needed and had seamless integration with Trove’s product catalog. We retired the Wix site and redesigned the structure on Square to highlight everything that made Trove special. This included:

A revamped site architecture with new sections for events and blog content
Customer reviews and accolades to build trust and social proof
An improved online catalog organization
Seasonal shopping guides, including a Wedding Guide for spring and a Holiday Guide for fall and winter

With the new site in place, we focused on boosting visibility through SEO. We conducted a comprehensive audit of site content, metadata, and keyword use. From there, we:

Reaching Out to Trove’s Customers

Although Trove had been collecting customer emails for years, they had never launched an email marketing campaign. We changed that by using Square’s built-in marketing tools to design simple, effective email templates and campaigns.

Since the Trove team would eventually take over email marketing, we made sure everything was easy to use, with reusable templates that didn’t require design or coding expertise.

We built a schedule to send out two emails per month:

A newsletter featuring shop updates, product launches, and events
A Featured Artist series spotlighting local Maine artisans

Digital Advertising

Trove had experimented with Meta ads before, but with little traction. We developed a focused Instagram engagement campaign to showcase their collection and promote the brand to regional audiences across New England.

By keeping the targeting localized and content visually striking, the campaign drove significant traffic to the site and boosted brand awareness on social media.
